Is Blackhawk part of Danville?

No, even though the mailing addresses say Danville. Blackhawk is an unincorporated community in Contra Costa County, and Blackhawk Plaza sits in an unincorporated area right next to it. For your Google Business Profile, use your address the way the post office writes it, then add Blackhawk as a service area if you travel to customers.

Where does a Blackhawk business get its business license?

From Contra Costa County. Blackhawk is outside Danville’s town limits, and the Town of Danville says businesses in unincorporated Contra Costa County get their license through the County office in Martinez.

Can my business show up on Google Maps in Blackhawk without a storefront?

Yes, as a service-area business. Google says you should hide your address if customers don’t come to you, then list up to 20 service areas by city or ZIP code. You can’t use a radius, and Google says the whole area shouldn’t stretch much past about 2 hours of driving from where you’re based. Local SEO does the rest.

Can my business get sued over an inaccessible website in California?

Yes, and businesses with a physical location carry the most risk. California’s Civil Rights Department says courts have applied the Unruh Act’s accessibility rules to websites tied to businesses with physical locations, and the damages start at $4,000 per offense, plus attorney’s fees. It’s much cheaper to build a site right than to defend one.

Can tracking pixels on my website get my business sued?

They can. California’s wiretap law, Penal Code section 631, still lets private plaintiffs sue, with damages of $5,000 per violation. SB 690, signed September 30, 2026 and taking effect January 1, 2027, narrows a different kind of claim and leaves section 631 alone. The safe setup is one where tracking waits for a visitor’s consent. Your attorney should have the final word.
