Boomcycle Digital Marketing builds websites for San Mateo businesses that turn a visit into a phone call, then helps them show up on Google and run Google Ads they can measure. We’re across the bay in San Ramon and Pleasanton, and I’ve been doing this since 2003.
San Mateo doesn’t have one business district. It has several: downtown along B Street and Third and Fourth Avenues, the shops around Hillsdale Shopping Center, the offices at Bay Meadows where the racetrack used to be, and a long run of storefronts on El Camino Real. Most people choose between them on a phone. For any given search, only a few businesses make the first screen of Google.
A dental office near Hillsdale and a contractor in North Central have the same problem. If a customer finds somebody else first, that’s who gets the call. I built Boomcycle to be the agency I’d want to hire if I ran your business. Here’s what that means day to day.

Be the business San Mateo customers find for what you sell, in the regular results and in the AI answers that now sit above them.

On a “near me” search, the map decides who gets the call. We work to put you in those top three spots.

Custom websites that load fast, read well on a phone and make it easy to call you, with SEO built in from the first page.

Calls and form fills this month while your rankings build, with every dollar reported in plain numbers.

Not sure where your budget should go first? A strategy session gets you a plan you can run with, whether we run it or you do.

See which calls, forms and sales came from which channel, so you stop paying for the ones that don’t bring in customers.

Articles and pages that answer what your customers are asking, written so Google and AI tools can quote you.

Video and drone footage that shows your business at its best, made for your website, YouTube and social ads.

Search catches people who already want what you sell. Social puts you in front of the ones who don’t know it yet.
Plenty of San Mateo businesses have a website that photographs well and does nothing. Visitors land, look around and leave without calling. Usually it isn’t the colors. It’s the phone number buried in the footer, or a quote form with eleven fields.
My team designs and builds custom websites for San Mateo businesses that load fast and make it easy to call or ask for a quote, even on a phone. SEO goes in from the first page instead of being bolted on after launch, so buyers can find the site from day one. Accessibility goes in from the start too, because in California an inaccessible site can get a business sued.
Most business websites we build start at $5.5K, and I’ll tell you what yours needs before you put down a dime.

A Google Ads account nobody’s watching can burn a month’s budget on searches that were never going to buy. My team runs Google Ads management for Bay Area businesses with one goal: more calls and form fills for the money.
Yes, though the City calls it a Business Tax Certificate. The Finance Department issues it, and you can apply online. It doesn’t clear zoning, fire or occupancy, though. The City’s starting-a-business guide says to confirm your use is allowed at the address before you sign a lease.
Yes, as a service-area business. Google says you should hide your address if customers don’t come to you, then list up to 20 service areas by city or ZIP code. You can’t use a radius, and Google says the whole area shouldn’t stretch much past about 2 hours of driving from where you’re based. Local SEO does the rest.
Yes, and businesses with a physical location carry the most risk. California’s Civil Rights Department says courts have applied the Unruh Act’s accessibility rules to websites tied to businesses with physical locations, and the damages start at $4,000 per offense, plus attorney’s fees. It’s much cheaper to build a site right than to defend one.
They can. California’s wiretap law, Penal Code section 631, still lets private plaintiffs sue, with damages of $5,000 per violation. SB 690, signed September 30, 2026 and taking effect January 1, 2027, narrows a different kind of claim and leaves section 631 alone. The safe setup is one where tracking waits for a visitor’s consent. Your attorney should have the final word.
It can. The City’s Small Business Support Team offers a 30-minute consultation for owners who have a general idea of their business but need help with permits, approvals and next steps. Book it before you sign anything. Getting found online once the doors open is where I come in.
Unless the sign is exempt, yes. San Mateo’s sign code says nobody can install, alter, move or replace a nonexempt sign without a sign permit, and the City says signage work needs building permits before it starts. If you’re rebranding, line up the permits early, so your website, your Google Business Profile and your storefront change on the same day.
Most business websites we build start at $5.5K. SEO and Google Ads management are monthly programs, priced by how competitive your market is and how much ground there is to cover, and our pricing page has the details. Our agreements are month-to-month, and I’ll tell you which option fits before you commit to anything.
We work with businesses all over San Mateo, from downtown and North Central to Hillsdale, Bay Meadows and Bridgepointe, and up and down the Peninsula, including nearby Burlingame, Redwood City, Menlo Park, Palo Alto and San Francisco.
Book a free consultation and I’ll show you where you stand on Google Maps and in regular search today, and which competitors are getting the calls you should be getting. No pressure and no long pitch, just a straight answer about what it would take.
