Boomcycle Digital Marketing builds websites, runs SEO and manages Google Ads for businesses in Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Sonoma and the rest of Sonoma County. We’re based in San Ramon in the East Bay, and I’ve been doing this since 2003.
Sonoma County counted 488,863 residents at the 2020 census, but your customers don’t shop by county. Petaluma grew up along the Petaluma River and once called itself the Egg Capital of the World. Rohnert Park is home to Sonoma State University and Graton Resort & Casino. And the Plaza in Sonoma, where the Bear Flag went up in 1846, is a National Historic Landmark that draws visitors all year.
Same county, three different maps. Distance from the person searching is one of the things Google weighs, so each town sees its own set of businesses. A contractor in Petaluma and a caterer in Sonoma have the same problem. If a customer finds somebody else first, that’s who gets the call. I started Boomcycle to be the agency I’d hire myself if I ran your business, and here’s how that works day to day.

Be the business Sonoma County customers find for what you sell, in the regular results and in the AI answers that now sit above them.

On a “near me” search, the map decides who gets the call. We work to put you in those top three spots.

Custom websites that load fast, read well on a phone and make it easy to call you, with SEO built in from the first page.

Calls and form fills this month while your rankings build, with every dollar reported in plain numbers.

Not sure where your budget should go first? A strategy session gets you a plan you can run with, whether we run it or you do.

See which calls, forms and sales came from which channel, so you stop paying for the ones that don’t bring in customers.

Articles and pages that answer what your customers are asking, written so Google and AI tools can quote you.

Video and drone footage that shows your business at its best, made for your website, YouTube and social ads.

Search catches people who already want what you sell. Social puts you in front of the ones who don’t know it yet.
Plenty of businesses around the county have a website that looks lovely and does nothing. Visitors land, look around and leave without calling.
My team designs and builds custom websites for Sonoma County businesses that load fast and make it easy to call, book or ask for a quote on a phone. A lot of your customers will find you that way, sometimes from a tasting room parking lot. SEO goes in from the first page instead of being bolted on after launch, and so does accessibility, because in California an inaccessible site can get a business sued.
Most business websites we build start at $5.5K, and I’ll tell you what yours needs before you invest a dime.

A Google Ads account nobody’s watching can burn a month’s budget on people who were never going to buy, or on towns you don’t even drive to. My team runs Google Ads management for North Bay businesses with one goal: more calls and form fills for the money.
If you’re inside city limits, yes, and each city runs its own. Rohnert Park requires a Business Tax Certificate from anyone doing business in town, issues a new one every calendar year and asks new businesses for an Occupancy and Use Certificate too. The City of Sonoma license covers home-based businesses and one-time jobs, and the fees are due by February 1. Petaluma has its own business license and tax as well.
Not necessarily. Plenty of Sonoma County mailing addresses sit in unincorporated county land outside any city, and the rules that apply follow the property, not the post office. Permit Sonoma’s permit and parcel search is the place to look yours up. It matters online too. Your business name, address and phone number should read exactly the same on your website, your Google Business Profile and every directory that lists you.
It can show up in all three, just not equally. Google says local results are mainly based on relevance, distance and popularity, so you’ll usually show up most on the map near your own address. If customers don’t come to you, a service-area business can hide its address and list up to 20 service areas by city or ZIP code, though not as a radius. A website with a real page for each town you serve does the rest.
Yes. The City of Sonoma says anyone doing business out of their home needs a home occupation permit from the Planning Department, on top of the business license. If customers don’t visit the house, your Google Business Profile should list a service area and keep the street address hidden.
It can, and businesses with a storefront or office carry the most risk. California’s Civil Rights Department says courts have applied the Unruh Act’s accessibility rules to websites tied to businesses with physical locations, with damages starting at $4,000 per offense plus attorney’s fees. That’s why my team builds accessibility in from the first page.
It could. California’s wiretap law, Penal Code section 631, still lets private plaintiffs sue, with damages of $5,000 per violation. SB 690, signed September 30, 2026 and taking effect January 1, 2027, narrows a different kind of claim and leaves section 631 in place. The careful setup holds tracking back until a visitor consents. Your attorney should have the final word.
Most business websites we build start at $5.5K. SEO and Google Ads management are monthly programs, priced by how competitive your market is and how many towns you want to cover, and our pricing page has the details. Agreements are month-to-month, and I’ll tell you which option fits before you invest anything.
We work with businesses all over the county, from downtown Petaluma and Rohnert Park to the Sonoma Plaza, Cotati and Windsor, and up the 101 in Santa Rosa. Nearby, we also serve Napa, Fairfield and Oakland.
